Dusk yawns as dawn breaks. The stars keep spinning, even out of our sight. To unravel them alone is an onerous task.Seek the aid of the Karakul's Paw.

Faint smoke lingers on the wind-- but instead of ash and char, its scent is light and herbaceous. To follow it leads you to a well-dressed stall. Set within walls of woven silk tapestry, it provides an oasis from the noise of a bustling market.A cursory glance reveals tables dressed with furs and silks. The displays are laden, if not a little disorganized. But they bear stones, vials of oil, bundles of herbs, and trinkets. All seemingly mundane, to the untrained eye. Close at hand sits a marked mat, splayed across with cards and cast runestones.Casually leaning against his stall table, a miqo'te donning a horned mask regards you with a warm grin...What most piques your interest?

Who is the Karakul?

Back when time was young, and the Lifestream was but a spring, the world as we know it was vast and empty. Together, the Twelve shaped its tallest peaks and lowest valleys, perfecting a paradise that only grew lonelier the more they alone came to cherish it. In an attempt to raise their morale, the Gods and Goddesses came together in a night of revelry-- and through their combined song and dance, they glimpsed the essence of life, breathing color and motion into the first of the trees.Overcome with elation at the discovery, they traveled the world over with their song of life. Everything under the stars was imbued with breath and soul; From river and mountain, to pebble and plains. But their World still felt empty... until they created their own vessels, and imbued them with life, too. Thus were the Great Spirits born.Karakul is just one of these many mighty spirits; An aspect of fate and omens, ever entranced by the stars above. Keeping the curious and esoteric ever in their circle, they were a guide to the tribe's acolytes, sharing their gift for untangling the threads of fate and divining the future.M'yhe Aylahi is one of said acolytes, proud to call himself a Seer of his people; the Marmot Tribe of the Lochs. Under more fortunate circumstances, he would serve them as a healer, and a point of connection to these Great Spirits. Alas, he stands as one of the few who yet remains. Devestated by King Theoderic's rule and the Empire's bloody fist, the Marmots only exist as a handful of survivors driven from their ancestral lands.Forced to spend his next years on the road as a refugee, M'yhe started the Karakul's Paw as a means to turn quick coin from one town to the next. Though, he grew fond of the connection such work offered. And in due time, the Seer found a hearth to call his own, and a found family worth fighting for. He could have simply ceased peddling his services... but grew to love this work too much to simply let it go.Now, the Karakul's Paw exists with renewed purpose; as a means to continue Yhe's duties as a Seer, foster connection with others, and share little pleasures that make life worth living.
